Welcome to Lucina Mama Antenatal Classes

Hello, and welcome to Lucina Mama Antenatal Classes! We are 3 NHS midwives that are using our knowledge to provide antenatal education to any willing parents to be! 
Our aim is to deliver antenatal classes that are factual and fun in an environment that is welcoming so that no question or topic is off the table. 
We will provide 6 sessions lasting an hour or so each that will cover various aspects of pregnancy, labour and postnatal care in order to prepare you for your journey into parenthood. 
During each of the 6 sessions we will offer information from that topic, an activity to keep things light and an opportunity for you to ask any of those niggly questions you may think are silly (they aren’t by the way). 

The sessions will cover;

• Pregnancy myths

• Babys movements.

• Early labour and coping strategies.

• Exercise during pregnancy.

• Established labour and pain relief.

• What to pack in your hospital bag.

• Postnatal care and what to expect in those early weeks.

• Practical feeding information.

• Mini first aid taster session.

We usually have two speakers per course that come to provide taster sessions from things like pregnancy yoga, stretching and exercise in pregnancy, mini first aid and reflexology. We will update you on who will be attending the course during the first session.  

We also offer additional services such as baby bootcamp, 1:1 antenatal sessions in your own home and an exciting baby shower package - we will attend your baby shower and facilitate fun and interactive games to help educate and prepare you, your friends and family for your new addition.
